Volcano Hiking Tour:
A brisk walk will take you deep inside in 2 different type of forest in Guanacaste. Tropical dry forest and primary forest, where you will see the volcanic activity as fumaroles and boiling mud road. Wildlife is also important, several mammals, such as 3 different species of monkeys: Howler, White Face and Spider, coatis, iguanas, and a lot different species of birds are very common in this Volcano Hiking Tour.

Option # 1
The first option would be for a hike on the Rincon de la Vieja National Park in the sector called Las Pailas. The duration of this hiking is around two hours and thirty minutes. Where basically you will see the volcanic activity as fumaroles, boiling water, volcanic mud, at very high temperatures. Also during this tour we have possibility to see some different kinds of wildlife as: Monkeys, Toucans, Iguanas, Coatis, Raccoons, and many more.
Duration: 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Approximately
Option # 2
The second option would be a walk of 5 hours round trip, basically this would be on the slopes of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. During this hike you get the visit to a beautiful waterfall which is called La Cangreja (here if you want you can swim). Here we can’t see the activity of the volcano but the experience to visit this waterfall is amazing. Also during this tour we have possibility to see some different kinds wildlife as: Monkeys, Toucans, Iguanas, Coatis, Raccoons, and many more.
